It’s been over a month since I last posted here. That’s because we were out of town – went to Philadelphia for the semester break at the insistance of former Eastwood resident Kate Clark. But during that time, a lovely email was sent to the Walkable Eastwood email group, and its author has given me permission to share it with you. 5. Crime Awareness – Continue support of Neighborhood Watch Groups; assist new (and struggling) Neighborhood Watch Groups; neighborhood walks by police chief, fire chief, code enforcement director, District Attorney, and DSS commissioner; establish cooperative relationship with Community Court, …

As part of its five year plan, the Eastwood TNT has initiated a study group of folks city-wide to study the feasibility and pros and cons of a parks conservancy here in Syracuse to manage and oversee all city parks and perhaps other public lands as well. This group is still early in the study process. Questions about this effort can be left in the comments here or sent to the webmaster. They will be forwarded to Mike Behnke, John Mariani or Pete Kavanagh, three Eastwood residents in the study group.
