PUBLIC NOTICE
CITY OF SYRACUSE
BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, City Hall, Syracuse, New York to consider the following applications:

1.    Application No V-09-15, Costingtons, LLC, for a variance of Part B, Section III, Article 2, of the Zoning Rules and Regulations of the City of Syracuse, as amended, to convert a storefront into a third apartment, on property situated at 431 Tompkins Street, by waiving the required lot width, front setback, and parking area screening, in a Local Business District, Class a zone..

2.    Application No. V-09-16, by Home HeadQuarters, Inc., for a variance of part B, Section I, Article 4, of the Zoning Rules and Regulations of the City of Syracuse, as amended, to construct a single-family dwelling, on property situated at 619 Otisco Street, by waiving the required lot width, and required parking space, in a Residential District, Class AA zone.

3.    Application No. V-09-17, by Home HeadQuarters, Inc., for a variance of part B, Section III, Article 2, of the Zoning Rules and Regulations of the City of Syracuse, as amended, to construct a single-family dwelling on property situated at 621 Otisco Street, by waiving the required lot width, land density, and required parking space, in a Local Business District, Class A zone.

4.    Application No. V-09-18, by Anna M. Martin, for a variance of Part B, Section III, Article 2, of the Zoning Rules and Regulations of the City of Syracuse, as amended, to construct a rear porch addition on property situated at 117 Josephine Street, by waiving the maximum structural coverage, allowed in a Local Business District, Class A zone.

5.    Application No. V-09-19, by John Stamey, for a variance of Part B, Section I, Article 1, of the Zoning Rules and Regulations of the City of Syracuse, as amended, to relocate the front entrance stairs, and then construct a handicap lift, on the front of a single-family dwelling, on property situated at 177 Fayette Boulevard, by waiving the front yard setback and creating front yard parking, in a Residential District, Class A-1 zone.

The above proposals are open for inspection at the Syracuse Zoning Office.  A more complete description of the above proposals will be found therein.  Persons wishing to appear may do so in person or by attorney.  Communications in writing in relation thereto may be filed with the Syracuse Board of Zoning Appeals, Room 211, City Hall Commons, 201 East Washington Street, Syracuse, New York 13202-1426, or at such hearing.
