Eastwood Parents Network

We’ve lived in Eastwood for six years, and each year we notice that more and more young families are walking past our house. This is just one sign of a neighborhood on the upswing – the joy of tiny tots and the promise of new energy and new ideas to help Eastwood continue to develop to its fullest potential.

Another sign of a vibrant community is neighborhood groups and projects that spontaneously come into being. One is the Eastwood Parents Network, and they’re looking to expand their membership. If you know any family in Eastwood, please let them know about it. Give them this web address:

eastwoodparents.org

There they will find a mission statement, a listing of upcoming events, contact information and more.

Thanks for posting this Lonnie! You are correct that the apparent increase in young families in Eastwood is a great sign of a healthy neighborhood. One of the things we’re hoping to accomplish with the Eastwood Parents Network is to keep all those young families in this neighborhood as their tiny tots become school-age children and beyond. If you are a parent in Eastwood, please check the website and join the Google group. We would like this to be a “network” – a venue for parents to exchange ideas and discuss concerns about our neighborhood – rather than a formal group with meetings since we know parents are already busy people!
